On a personal note (cue the tears 😭)... my son is officially a high school senior! I honestly don’t know what to do with myself. Secretly, I’m hoping he applies to the University of Kentucky and stays close to home, but he's got adventure in his eyes. Right now, he’s aiming for early admission to NYU, so we’ll see where life takes him. Either way, I’m cherishing every moment.

Speaking of fresh starts, we’re cheering (and crying a little) as we send our incredible summer stars Kate and Katie off to their next adventure…college life! Don’t worry, though because they’re still with us part-time and virtually. Once a Coughtry girl, always a Coughtry girl. 💙

We’ve had an incredible summer so far with 57 families helped with buying and selling homes. It's an honor to be part of such life-changing milestones, and we’re beyond grateful for your continued trust.

And here's the BIG news! Our intern, Mara Garcia, has officially completed her CE internship and is now a licensed bilingual Spanish-speaking agent! We’re so proud of her and thrilled to serve even more of our community with her on the team. Meet Mara Garcia!

Mara has called Lexington home for over 20 years. Born in Torreón, Mexico, she’s built her life here with her husband of 19 years and their two wonderful children, ages 13 and 6.

She is a bilingual real estate agent who is passionate about creating a clear, respectful, and empowering experience for every client especially within the Hispanic community. Mara’s passion for real estate started with her own home-buying journey, which was filled with confusion and miscommunication. Because of that, she made it her mission to ensure that no family she works with ever feels unsupported. Mara has seen firsthand how language barriers and lack of education can prevent families—like her own mother—from achieving the dream of homeownership. That’s why she is especially committed to serving and educating Hispanic buyers and sellers with honesty, patience, and care.

Professionally, Mara completed an intensive internship with Coughtry Enterprises and has been part of the CE team for over eight months. She also brings valuable experience as a leasing agent, helping clients confidently navigate rentals and leases.
